Online Condolences

Online condolences and other messages may be left for the families that we are currently serving or have served in the past.

Messages will be posted online for the family to review and will also be forwarded to the family in print format.

** IMPORTANT **

Please read the following important tips, reminders, and rules before posting an online condolence.

Postings that do not meet these simple guidelines will be removed from our website IMMEDIATELY.

Tips, Reminders, & Guidelines About Online Condolences

  • Because our online guestbook currently has a general guest registry format (one guestbook for the entire website instead of individual guestbook pages for each individual family), please make clear note, either in the title / heading of your message or in the text of your message, of the specific family for whom your message is intended.
  • While we do encourage you to freely express yourself in your communication, please be reminded that this is a public website that is viewed by literally hundreds of websurfers each day. If you have a personal or more private condolence to send to a family or family member, please consider one of the following options:
1. Email your private message to the funeral home at
snydersfuneralhome@hotmail.com
Your message will only be viewed by the Office Manager before it is passed on to the intended recipient family by either mail or email.
Please be sure to provide forwarding information in your message!

2. Mail your private message to the funeral home at
Family of _____________
C/O Snyder's Funeral Home
5913 Kingsport Highway
Gray, Tennessee 37615
Your mailing will NOT be read by the funeral home staff.
It will forwarded to the family immediately,
either by mail or in person (picked up by the family).

3. Call the funeral home and leave a private message to be passed on the family.
(423) 477-7911
Someone will gladly write down your message and pass it on the family.
It is against our policy to release family contact information to the public,
but we will be more than happy to pass on a message
or your contact information to the family for you upon your request.

  • Please remember that ALL messages are subject to review by Snyder's Memorial Gardens, Inc. staff. Any posting found to be disrespectful or inappropriate in any way will be removed immediately and will NOT be passed on to the intended family. We also reserve the right to "ban" the responsible party from any future postings on our website.

On behalf of the families served by Snyder's Memorial Gardens, Inc.,

Thank You

to everyone who has posted condolences in the online guestbook,

To the family of Nancy Black:

Just wanted to let you know that I'm praying that your family is experiencing God's peace during this time of grief.
Nancy was a precious lady. She had such a sweet spirit. I was so blessed to have the privilege of knowing her.
I know that she will be greatly missed, but has left a wonderful legacy of a lady that truly loved God.

He gives perfect peace to those who keep their minds on Him, because they trust in Him. Isaiah 26:3

For the family of Nancy Black - Our prayers and condolences to the family. I knew Maria and Sheila at school and had met Nancy a number of times. She was an exceptional lady and always held in high regards. Take comfort in the fact that she will always be with you in spirit. God bless you all with his comforting touch.

I am so saddened to hear of Dorothy's passing. She was such a sweetheart with a heart of gold. My thoughts are now with you Roy, at the loss you must bare. I leave you with a poem of prayer and thought by Rev. George Shaw.

"Out of the depths to Thee I cry,
whose fainting footsteps trod
The paths of our humanity,
Incarnate Son of God.

Let faith transcend the passing hour,
the transient pain and strife,
Upraised by immortal power,-
The power of endless life.

What a wonderful reunion awaits us all in heaven
