Zane Bernard Obituary

Zane Alexander Bernard, 21, blessed this world with his presence on December 24, 2002, in Kingsport, TN. In a life that was cut short, Zane passed away unexpectedly at his home in Kingsport on April 2, 2024, leaving behind a legacy marked by laughter, kindness, and an indomitable love for the people and world around him.

The beloved son of Megan K. Monroe (Adam) and Daniel A. Bernard (Josie), Zane grew up enveloped in a large and loving family. His papaw, Eddie Bernard, his mamaw, Linda Bernard, his papaw, Stan Dennison (Alla), along with his grumpa and grammy, Geddie and Linda Monroe provided him with endless support and cherished memories. Zane is also survived by his siblings, Laken Monroe, Dexter Bernard, and Lelah Bernard. He was a cherished nephew to Trevor Dennison (Rebecca) and Brooks Monroe (Brittany), and an adored cousin to Charlie Dennison, Thomas Dennison, Ava Monroe, Presleigh Billings, Adilee Billings, and Coleson Monroe. Zane was a shining star whose light touched many, including his best friend, Cyrus Peace. He was predeceased by his mamaw, Lynne Dennison, and his memory will be forever treasured by the countless other beloved family members and friends who survive him.

Zane's early years in Kingsport were hallmarked by a curiosity about the world and a penchant for joy that would follow him throughout his life. He could often be found outdoors, exploring nature and relishing the simple beauty of the East Tennessee landscape.

A man of diverse interests and talents, Zane was equally at home in the digital realm of video games as he was in the tranquility of nature. His analytical mind found solace and excitement in the challenges that gaming presented, while his funny and selfless nature made him a favored companion in any multiplayer scenario. Zane also had a deep appreciation for music, an art form that allowed him to both express and soothe his soul.

Zane shared a special connection with his pet, Scribbles, whom he loved deeply. The bonds of companionship they shared were a testament to his ability to love unconditionally and to cherish the most simple, yet profound, of life's pleasures.

Zane's family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all who have been part of his journey. The warmth, companionship, and joy that each of you brought to Zane's life will forever be a treasured part of his story. He was greatly loved and his time was cut short here on this earth.
