James "Jimmy" Giles, 60, of Johnson City, TN, headed up to the Spirit in the sky in the early hours of February 10, 2014. He was a native of Johnson City and was proud to be raised in the Keystone community. He was a graduate of Science Hill High School. He was a kindred soul known for his generosity and benevolence. He never met a stranger. He was an avid music lover and will always be remembered for his mischievous grin, singing, and dancing. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Grover and Mildred Giles, of Johnson City; and one brother, Bobby Giles, of Johnson City. Survivors include his daughter, Niki Giles, of Johnson City, and dear friends Jeff Hartley, Jeff Fair, and Guy Scrivner, all of Johnson City, among many loved ones near and far.
Receiving of friends will be from 3-5pm on Monday, February 17, 2014 at Snyder's Memorial Gardens in Gray, TN. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to One Acre Cafe of Johnson City, as Jimmy could not bear to see one go hungry. http://www.oneacrecafe.org

Jimmy, it's been so many years since I last saw my dear cousin....You could brighten up a room with your laugh and smile, I still have pictures of you that I carried all these years. I feel bad that we didn't stay in touch, but I am so proud of the wonderful man, caring and giving that I called my cousin. God Bless your family and my thoughts and prayers will be with your family. Love you, your Cousin Sherrie...

Dear sweet Niki! I am so sorry for your loss. Jimmy always loved you so much. Sad to say, I haven't seen Jimmy in several years, but when I think of him, I remember the smile and happiness he always had. He was just as mischievous as Grover, whom I loved so much. I'm sure your Dad is happy , being with his Mom, Dad and Bobby. Jimmy rest in peace. I will always love you cousin. Cindy

Niki,
We just wanted to let you know how very sorry we are for your loss. We both know how hard it is to lose your Daddy. We are thinking about you and praying for you. If you need anything you let us know. I also just wanted to say how grateful I was to your Dad for taking care of my sister and treating her like his own. He was a very special man with an outstanding heart and true loyalty to those he considered his own. Deepest sympathy and hearts of love.. Becky and Big Sarah
