Robin Elbe-Telford

Robin Elbe, 54, went Home to be with the Lord on January 8, 2016. She departed this life from her home in Telford in the morning hours. Robin was born in Dayton, Ohio on May 22, 1961 to the late Robert and Virginia Winterbotham. She has lived in the local area since 1994.

Robin was an educator. She received her Bachelor’s Degree of Science from ETSU and was a special education teacher at Unaka High School for over 10 years.

Mrs. Elbe attended Lone Oak Christian Church in Johnson City and enjoyed Monday night Bible Study with her friends and neighbors. She loved to read books on her Kindle and watch television. Her favorite programs were ‘The Amazing Race’ and ‘The Biggest Loser’.

In addition to her parents, Robin was preceded in death by her daughter, Christina and mother-in-law, Helen Elbe.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 34 years, Andrew; son, Justin Elbe and wife, Emily of Jonesborough; sister, Jeanie Hall of Florida; brother, Jimmy Winterbotham of Ohio; grandchildren, Parker and Hannah Elbe; her friends from the Bible Study group; and many more special friends and family members.

The family will receive friends at Lone Oak Christian Church, 1914 Lone Oak Rd, Johnson City, TN 37604, on Monday, January 11, 2016 from 5-7 pm. The Celebration of Life will immediately follow with Tad Johnson officiating. The family will have a private interment.

I worked with Robin at Unaka for 2 years as the Speech Therapist for her students. She was always welcoming and kind. My prayers are with the family as they say their earthly goodbyes. May you look forward to the day you can be reunited with her in heaven. May God wrap his loving arms of love, comfort and peace around you.

Aunt Robin,
You have always been so sweet and full of life and laughter. I can't believe that you are gone but, I'm glad that you are finally free from all of your sickness and pain. I hope it brings comfort for all of us to remember that you are with Grandma and Tina again.

I had the pleasure of knowing Robin through church many years ago. She was one of the sweetest people I have ever know, her bright smile, quick laugh were so engaging. I hadn't see Robin in several years but kept up with her through Facebook. One of God's angels went home and I pray that Andy and Justin and family will find peach and comfort through God during this time of this incredible loss. Rest well and rejoice Robin.

Robin and I were friends in high school. We reconnected on Facebook during her final years. I remember her as kind, caring, and full of enthusiasm and good humor. To me, she will always be 18 and full of health and vitality. My thoughts are with her family at this sad time.

I have known Robin for 35 years. Robin is my late stepfather Floyd's niece and this is how we met. We lived within a block of each other, we were pregnant at the same time, and we had a lot of fun raising our children. Robin, Andy, and Justin are the nicest people I have had the privilege of knowing in my lifetime. Robin was always kind, cheerful and would help anyone that needed help. My heart and prayers are with Andy, Justin and his wife and children at this time. May Robin rest in peace with her daughter, Tina.
Love,
Vicki
