Annie Oxendine- Jonesborough, Tennessee
Annie Ruth Oxendine, of Jonesborough, Tennessee, passed away at the Johnson City Medical Center in Johnson City, Tennessee, on Sunday evening, October 24, 2021. Annie was born on January 15, 1974, in Lexington, Kentucky, to Wilma Oxendine and the late Jerry Oxendine.
Annie was a native of Jonesborough and had lived in the area for most of her life. She was a 1994 graduate of Science Hill High School. She was employed for the last 4 years as the store manager at Chips in Erwin. She enjoyed camping, boating, and most of all spending time with her grandchild.
In addition to her father, Annie was also preceded in death by a grandson, Jayce Bigler.
Those left to cherish Annie’s memory include her daughter, Jessica Oxendine; two sons, Austin Oxendine and Jacob Mitchell; her life-partner, Johnny Mitchell; a sister, Amy Ramsey; two brothers, Kevin Oxendine and Billy Oxendine; and one grandchild, Xavier Oxendine.
The family will be receiving friends at Snyder’s Memorial Gardens, funeral home, in Gray, Tennessee, on Thursday, October 28, 2021, from 5-7:00 pm. The funeral service will follow beginning at 7:00 pm. Giving a eulogy will be Winston Oxendine, Jr.
Annie will be interred at Carr Cemetery, in Johnson City, Tennessee; located off Carr Cemetery Road in the Watauga Flats Community; on Friday, October 29, 2021, at 1:00 PM.
