Anthony "Tony" Edward McDavid

Anthony “Tony” Edward McDavid, 64, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2023. Tony was born on March 10, 1959, the son of the late Clyde Edward McDavid and the late Mildred Lane McDavid. 

Tony was a native of Blountville, Tennessee and resided most of his life in Kingsport, Tennessee prior to moving to the farm in Scott County, Virginia for the past 8 years. He worked at Air Products for almost 40 years ending his career as the Confined Space Coordinator of North America. 

In addition to his parents, Tony was preceded in death by his father-in-law, David “Tommie” Newman. 

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 40 years, Cammie Newman McDavid; his sons, Clint McDavid & wife April and Colton McDavid & wife Danielle; his beloved grandson Liam McDavid; his brother, Tim McDavid & wife Miranda; his brother, Danny McDavid & wife Lori; his mother-in-law, Nell C. Newman, and several nieces & nephews. 

The family will receive friends Sunday, April 2, 2023, from 2:00 – 3:30 P.M. at First Baptist Church of Blountville located at 3358 SR-126, Blountville, Tennessee. A memorial service to honor the life of Tony will follow with Dr. Clay Austin and Jeff R. Morelock officiating.
