Barbara Ann Garland Jackson- Elizabethton

Barbara Jackson, 82, passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2016. She departed this life from Sycamore Shoals Hospital. Barbara was born December 6, 1933 in Jonesborough, TN to the late Roy and Mae Nelson Garland. She was a native of Washington County, TN but lived in Elizabethton for the past 20 years.

Barbara graduated Science Hill High School in 1952. She was a Navy wife for 24 years, a salesperson for Sears and Roebuck and also a CNA. She was a member of the first Baptist Church in Elizabethton. Barbara loved her family and the beach.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her son, William V. Jackson II; brother, Howard Garland; and grandson, Stephen East.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 64 years, William V. Jackson; daughters, Kathy and Ed Ossi, Jeanette East and Teresa and James Hatley; sister, Betty Thomas; brother, Roy Garland; 5 grandchildren, Brandon Hatley, Eddie and Elena Ossi, Aaron East and Hunter Jackson; 2 great grandchildren, Ashton East an Madeleine Hatley.
