B. Jean Kiser, lovingly known by friends and family as Jean, brought joy and laughter to those around her throughout a beautifully lived life. Born on October 5, 1935, in California, Jean's vibrant spirit blessed the earth until December 16, 2023, when she passed away peacefully in Myrtle Beach, SC.

Jean spent the majority of her life in Gray, Tennessee, which she always considered her true home. With grace and a generous heart, Jean impacted her community profoundly. She was the cherished operator of Jean's Arcade, a place of laughter and camaraderie located across from Gray Elementary School. Her dedication to her family, friends, and neighbors was evident in every interaction and enterprise she took part in.

A pillar of her community, Jean was an active attendee of Sulphur Springs Baptist Church for many years, where her faith and caring nature touched many lives. Her involvement with the Eastern Star, the Moose Lodge, and the Jonesborough Senior Citizen Club showcased her commitment to fellowship and service.

Jean was predeceased by her loving husband, Luke Gale Kiser, her daughter Tereshia Kiser, her father Lester Lee Hobbs, her mother Virginia Nell Ford Hobbs, and her brother Carl Hobbs. She leaves behind her devoted daughter, Barbara Kiser, her special family friend, Bobby Johnson, her dear cousin Mary Etta Felty, two grandsons, and two great-granddaughters.

Jean's zest for life shone brightly as she enjoyed playing pool, dancing, and adorning her surroundings with beautiful flowers. Her love for animals was a testament to her nurturing soul. Known for her quick wit, funny anecdotes, and spirited approach to life, Jean was the embodiment of generosity and kindness.

Her legacy will continue to blossom in the hearts of all who knew her. Jean's unwavering spirit and the love she shared will remain as enduring memories for her family and friends. Her laughter may have quieted, but her influence will never fade. Jean will be deeply missed yet celebrated for the remarkable life she led and the joy she bestowed upon us all.

The family of Mrs. Kiser will receive friends at 12:00 PM, Friday, December 22, 2023, at Snyder’s Memorial in Gray. Interment will follow at Sulphur Springs Cemetery. Bearers will be Bobby Johnson, Jarvey Felty, Sean Read, Terry Ford, Tommy Ford, Jerry Lovegrove, Gale Rhudy, and David McCoy.
