Bertha Lee Ford, 83, of Johnson City, TN, passed away Friday, August 18, 2023 at home surrounded by family. The daughter of the late Nathan & Laura Bennett Murray, she was a native and lifelong resident of Johnson City, TN.
Mrs. Ford was a member of By Faith Freewill Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Bertha was preceded in death by 2 sisters & their spouses, Pansy & Roy Harmon, and Ethel & Lloyd Slagle, and 1 brother-in-law, Paul Davis.
Mrs. Ford is survived by her loving husband, Kenneth Ray Ford; 4 sons, Terry Ford (Linda), Stephen Ford (Susie), Don Ford (Billy Shelton), Ronnie Ford (Lisa); grandchildren, Nathan Ford (Lindsey), Laura Mainer (Isaac), Brandy Farish (A.J.), and Sara Milton; great-grandchildren, Dalton McKinney, Knox Farish, Jude Farish & Emerson Mainer; 1 sister, Wanda Davis, 2 brothers, Tex Murray (Dorothy) & Clyde Murray, and several nieces & nephews.
It was Bertha’s request to be cremated without funeral services.
