Betty Jean Martin Thompson 88, of Gray TN, passed away on July 12, 2019. Mrs. Thompson was a Washington County Native and was the daughter of the late T. Hacker Martin and Maude Bacon Martin .
She was a member of the Bethany Presbyterian Church since 1953 where she was a leader, elder teacher, and a singer.
Mrs. Thompson was a former employee of Memorial Hospital, Johnson City TN.
She left behind nieces, nephews, and cousins. Proceeded in death by her husband, Charles W Thompson. 2 brothers: Donis W Martin and Raphael E Martin.
A service of Witness to the Resurrection will be on July 19, 2019, at 7:00 pm. The Service will be held at Bethany Presbyterian Church 5825 Fort Henry Dr. Kingsport TN 37663.
The Family will be receiving Friends and relatives from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm prior to the service.
Memorial Contributions can be made to Bethany Presbyterian Church or Alzheimer’s Tennessee.
