Beverly Sue Doherty

Beverly Doherty, 71 years old, passed away on April 14^th after a long battle with lung cancer.  Beverly, known as Suzy to her family and many close friends, was born in Elizabethton to Lawton Cloud and Hazel Cloud Staples.  She worked for many years as a hairdresser, bartender and waitress in the D.C. area and more recently in Elizabethton.  Upon retiring due to health reasons, Beverly volunteered in a local senior center and for a local veterinarian.  She will be deeply missed by her son, Jamie Salyer, brother, Terry Cloud, step-sister, Sandra Staples Geisinger, close cousin Brenda Smith Davidson and dear childhood friend, Wanda Brooks Bledsoe, as well as a host of other family and friends.  A memorial service is scheduled for 3 PM, Wednesday, April 20th at Snyder’s Memorial Gardens, Johnson City, TN. Snyder’s Memorial Gardens is serving the family of Suzy with honor and compassion.
