Billy Jackson, a beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2023, in his hometown of Kingsport, Tennessee. Born on October 14, 1956, in Kingsport, Tennessee, Billy lived a life full of love, adventure, and friendship.

The son of the late Paul and Pansy Jackson, Billy was predeceased by his brother, Paul D. Jackson, and his sisters, Diane Rhoton, and Sheila Marlene Gray. He is survived by his loving wife, Sheila Jackson; his son, Billy Joe Jackson II; his mother-in-law, Leona Laverne Thomas; his sister-in-law, Mary Evans (Thomas); his brothers-in-law, Allen Ferguson (Jeannie), Martin Thomas, & Kermit Thomas; several nieces and nephews; and his special nephew, Johnny Jackson. In addition, his close friends, Alfred Guy, Roger Guy, and Johnny Honeycutt, Marsha Gallagher will always cherish the memories they shared with Billy.

From a young age, Billy was known for his intelligence and friendly nature, which allowed him to forge many lifelong friendships. He approached life with a zest for adventure, and his warm-hearted spirit and good-natured sense of humor put everyone around him at ease. His strong bond with his family and loved ones was a testament to the encompassing love he held for those he cared for.

Throughout his life, Billy enjoyed spending time outdoors. He was an avid camper, hunter, fisherman, and hiker. His love for the great outdoors brought him closer to nature, and he cherished every opportunity to explore the world around him. Whether camping with his family, fishing with his buddies, or hiking through the woods, Billy's adventurous spirit shone brightest when he was outside.
