Brian Oliver Obituary

Brian Lee Oliver, 39, a beloved father, son, brother, and friend, left us to be with the Lord on May 5, 2023, in Asheville, North Carolina. Born in Johnson City, Tennessee, Brian was known for his infectious wit, warm heart, and remarkable intellect.

Brian, a native of Unicoi, Tennessee, was the proud son of Harold and Sherry Oliver. He cherished his family's roots, which reached back to his deceased grandfather, Bill Oliver, and deceased great-grandparents, Cecil and Daisy Woodby. Brian truly believed in the power of family and love, meeting life's challenges with courage and grace.

He was a father to five beautiful children, Bella, Madilynn, Emma, Emilee, and Lucian Oliver. He is also survived by his brother, Brandon, and 2 nieces.

Brian had a passion for exploration and new experiences, which led him to live in various places over the years. He was an avid traveler, using his journeys as an opportunity to broaden his perspective and learn about different cultures. This adventurous spirit was matched only by his love of music. Brian was a talented bass guitarist, who shared his gift by playing with several local bands over the years, bringing joy to countless audiences.

A man of great empathy and compassion, Brian tirelessly advocated for the needs of underprivileged and homeless individuals. He understood the importance of assisting those less fortunate and worked to create a brighter future for those he encountered.

In both his personal and professional life, Brian displayed a unique blend of intelligence, humor, and friendliness that endeared him to everyone he met. Quote from a well-known author―Maya Angelou: "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." This sentiment perfectly embodies Brian's ability to touch the lives of others with his presence.

As we remember Brian Lee Oliver, let us hold close the memories that fill our hearts with love, laughter, and joy. Let us celebrate the life of a man whose spirit will continue to inspire us.

Brian will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by his family, friends, and all who were lucky enough to know him. Until we meet again, may the memory of his light continue to shine brightly on those he left behind.
