Carolyn (Riddle) Francis

   Carolyn Francis, a lifelong resident of Johnson City, TN, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2024, following a lengthy illness. Born on May 25, 1952, Carolyn was known for her loving nature, her boundless generosity, and her thoughtful presence in the lives of those she touched.

   Carolyn’s spirit was shaped by the strong family values instilled by her parents, the late Ralph Riddle and Rosalee Ford Riddle. She shared a profound bond with her beloved husband, the late James Francis, and together they created a legacy of love that continues through their children, Beth Lymon (Davon), and Jonathan McCarty (Priscilla Matney).

   Her sisters, Sue Smith (Jim) and Barb Hodges (Louis), her brothers, Bill Riddle (Carolyn) and Daryl Riddle (Tammy), have cherished memories of Carolyn's unwavering support and kindness. As an adoring grandmother and great-grandmother, Carolyn left an indelible mark on her grandchildren, Stephanie Barquerro, Patrisha Bosemer (Fonda), and AJ Lee (Amber), along with great-grandchildren Aiden Bristol, Payton Saylor, and Anthony Kinzera. She also holds a special place in the hearts of her numerous nieces and nephews.

   A dedicated homemaker, Carolyn's home was a hub of warmth and nourishment. She lived a life defined by the joy she found in serving others, ensuring that no one would ever go hungry in her presence. Her devotion to her family was the cornerstone of her existence, emanating through her every action.

   Carolyn’s absence leaves a void that cannot be filled, but her memory will continue to inspire love and kindness in us all. Her example as a loving, generous, and thoughtful soul will guide her family and friends as they navigate their futures without her physical presence but with her spirit forever in their hearts.
