Charles Kelly Hamilton Sr., 67, of Gray, TN. passed away Friday morning January 6, 2017, at his residence in Gray, TN.

Mr. Hamilton was born September 5, 1949, in Durham, NC.  to the late Willis and Allene Hamilton.  Mr. Hamilton moved to Gray, TN. in 1990, and had resided there for the past 27 years.

 In 1967 Mr. Hamilton volunteered to join the United States Marine Corps to proudly serve his country and was a Vietnam Veteran. Mr. Hamilton was a devout Christian, and is now with his Lord and savior Jesus Christ, and was reunited with his loving wife of 30 years, Janie Leslie Hamilton.

In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by one son, Charles Kelly Hamilton Jr., and one brother Bill Hamilton.

He left behind to cherish his memory a son Chris Hamilton and wife Jamie of Gray.  Three brothers; Marty Hamilton of California, Johnny Hamilton and wife Carolyn of Augusta, Ga., and Bobby Hamilton and wife Barbara of Southern Pines, NC. Two grandsons, Matthew and Charlie Hamilton.

The family will receive friends at Snyder’s Memorial Gardens, funeral home Thursday, January 12, 2017, from 10:00-11:00 am.  Funeral services will immediately follow at 11:00 am with Pastor Wayne White of Highland Baptist Church Officiating.

Interment will be held at Highland Cemetery in Elizabethton, TN. on Thursday, January 12, 2017, at 1:00 pm
