Charlotte Ann Mercer- Jonesborough

Charlotte Ann Mercer, 77, went to meet the Lord on January 16, 2016. She departed this life from her home in Jonesborough. Charlotte was born February 14, 1938 in Johnson City, Tennessee to the late Everett Cooter and Frances Jane Hartman Cooter. She lived in the Jonesborough area for 40 years.

Charlotte was a dedicated nurse and had worked at Green Valley Developmental Facility and Mountain Home VA Hospital. She was a member of Valley View Methodist Church. In her spare time, she loved reading her Bible, quilting, and watching Nascar races. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Amedisys Hospice- especially Mellie for the loving care she gave to Mrs. Mercer and her family.

In addition to her parents, Charlotte Mercer was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Cecil Mercer; sister, Patricia Ann Laney; brother, Gary Dan Cooter; grandson, Toby Allen Moore; great-grandson, Tate Jeremiah Hodges.

Those left to cherish her memory are: daughters, Dianna Kabbeko, Sharon Hodges, and Tammy Sauls; son, Roy Willis Moore, Jr.; brother, Bobby Sarver; 6 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The Celebration of Life will be held at Valley View United Methodist, 117 Hartman Town Road, Jonesborough, TN, 37659 on January 30, 2016 at 2:00 pm. Pastor Greg Davis will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make donations to the charity of your choice in memory of Charlotte.
