Cheryl Ruth Gordon

The Lord took a special angel home on Friday, September 13, 2019.  Cheryl Ruth Gordon, 50, passed away at Indian Path Medical Center in Kingsport, Tennessee, surrounded by her loving family. Cheryl entered this world on December 30, 1968, in Kingsport, Tennessee to Ruth Anderson Sutherland and Damon Gordon.  She was a native of Kingsport and lived in the area all of her life, and she was a 1990 graduate of Dobyns Bennet High School.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her grandparents Jewel & Emanuel Anderson, and Dorothy Crawford.

Those left to cherish her memory include her mother and step-father, Ruth and Pete Sutherland; her father and step-mother, Damon & Freddie Gordon; her sister, Kara Gordon; and her brother and sister-in-law, Damon & Julie Gordon; her niece Haley; her nephew, Kailen and his fiancé, Destiny; her nephew Sawyer; one great-niece, Neyland; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2019, at Holy Mt. Baptist Church (3121 Ashley St., Kingsport, TN) beginning at 5:00 pm

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Bridge No-Kill Animal Rescue (2061 TN-75, Blountville, TN  37617).
