Clifford Wayne Street, 86, passed away on June 16, 2026, in Johnson City, TN. Born on May 2, 1940, in Johnson City, He was the son of the late Clifford L. and Ethel Lyons Street. Clifford was a Baptist and carried those values with him throughout his life.

Clifford retired from Johnson City Medical Center in 1995 after years of dedicated service. He was respected by those who knew him for his dependable nature, quiet strength, and the care he showed in both his work and his personal life. He also served his country as a past member of the Tennessee National Guard and the United States Army Reserve, reflecting his sense of duty and willingness to serve beyond himself. Clifford lived a life marked by devotion to his family, service to his country, and steady commitment to the community he called home.

Family was the center of Clifford’s life, and he treasured the many relationships that surrounded him. He leaves behind by his loving wife of 47 years, Helen Jones Street; his daughters, Brenda Whaley of Elizabethton and Cindy Hall of Jonesborough; his sons, David Street of Jonesborough and Jeffrey Street of Jonesborough; his stepsons, Richard Thomas of Michigan City, MS, and Christopher Thomas of Jonesborough; his sisters, Norma Dempsey of Johnson City, Lucy Henley of Johnson City, and Sue Smith of Johnson City; his brothers, Larry Street of Johnson City, Richard Street of Atlanta, GA, and James Street of Jonesborough; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Clifford Wayne Street’s life was one of faith, service, and enduring love. Though he will be deeply missed, his legacy lives on in the family he loved, the example he set, and the many lives he touched along the way.
