Connie Jo Hosmer- Gray
Constance “Connie Jo” Hosmer went Home to be with the Lord on January 17, 2016. She departed this life from her home in Gray. Connie was born August 28, 1931 in Duke Center, Pennsylvania to the late Charles and Mary Payne.
Connie met her husband Alan when she was 12 years old. They graduated in 1949 from Otto High School and got married in 1950. She and Alan made a beautiful life together and had 3 sons. Connie loved to quilt and made beautiful art with stained glass. In her spare time, she loved to travel, go camping and backpacking, but her main goal in life was to be a great Mother, Wife and homemaker and she excelled in that goal.
In addition to her parents, Connie was preceded in death by 3 sisters.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 65 years, Alan: sons; Steve Hosmer and his wife, Cathy of Grove City, Ohio; Alan Hosmer, Jr. of Greensboro, North Carolina; and David Hosmer and his wife, Sharon of Boise, Idaho; 9 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The Celebration of Life will be held at Jonesborough Presbyterian Church, 128 West Main Street, Jonesborough, Tennessee, 37659 on Saturday, January 30, 2016, at 11:00 am. Pastor Allen Huff will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Jonesborough Presbyterian Church or the National Kidney Foundation.
