Don Hashbarger- Jonesborough
Don “Rabbit” Hashbarger went Home to be with the Lord on January 13, 2016. He departed this life from his home in Jonesborough. Don was born July 19, 1939 in Sullivan County to the late Hubil and Willie Hashbarger.
Don was a Vietnam Veteran and served in the Army. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening. Don loved his family and cats dearly. He had a heart of gold and made everyone in his presence smile. Don was a kind and honest man that bestowed Blessings of God unto all that he came in contact with. You would never leave his sight without hearing him say ‘I love you’.
In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his brothers, Dean and Roy Hashbarger.
Those left to cherish his memory are: daughter, Samantha Albin; son, Nicky D. Hasbarger; sisters, Ruby Stevens and Shirley Hubbard and her husband, Tommy; brothers, Bill Hashbarger and wife, Elizabeth, and Jim Hashbarger; 3 grandchildren; special niece and caregiver, Christy Hubbard and husband, Bryan; special nephew, Tommy Stevens; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends January 16, 2016 at Snyder’s Memorial Gardens from 3-4 pm. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow with Victor Wallace officiating. A graveside service with military honors will be held on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at Mountain Home National Cemtery, 11:30 am.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Judes in Don’s memory.
