Donald Cowan “Chief” Franklin- Gray

Donald Franklin, 88, of Gray, TN passed peacefully on July 20 at NHC Healthcare of Johnson City, TN.

Don was preceded in death by his wife, Tallulah Anne Franklin. Donald was a 1946 graduate of Tennessee High School where he acquired the nickname “Chief” as a football manager. He attended the University of Tennessee and for the remainder of his life was an avid and enthusiastic VOL fan. He served in the United States Army during WW II in Japan.

Mr. Franklin is survived by a niece E. Anne Franklin of Russell, KY, nephews Kerry A. Musick of Gray, TN, Michael W. Franklin of Prescott, AZ, and Tyler L. Franklin of Bluff City, TN. He also had a deceased nephew L. Wayne Musick of Piney Flats, TN.

At Mr. Franklins request there will be no funeral services.
