Durward Ed Tiller

Durward Ed Tiller, known affectionately to his loved ones as Ed, peacefully passed away on September 20, 2023, in Johnson City, TN, following a brief illness. He was born on June 25, 1946, to parents Curtis E. Tiller and Mary Marie Owens in Dickenson County, VA.

Ed was a thoughtful and gentle soul, known for his kindness towards both people and animals alike. He was a sports fanatic who adored every facet of the sporting world. Following a robust career, he relished in the freedom of his retirement, taking time to enjoy life's simpler pleasures.

Ed fondly remembered his late wife, Joyce Tiller, who preceded him in death. The tenderness with which he spoke of her reflected the love and warmth that was Ed. He will be deeply missed and remembered for his soft-spoken nature and beloved presence.

Left to cherish Ed's memory are his 3 children, Dee Tiller, Vicki Tiller-Crabtree, and Toni Johnson.
