Faith Bernard, 57, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2025, at the Johnson City Medical Center, surrounded by family. Born on December 8, 1967, in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of Darlene Hampton and the late Melvin Hampton.
Faith married her beloved husband, Joseph Bernard, 30 years ago, and together they raised a family that was her pride and joy. Her children—Jessica Hampton, Melanie Smith, Joshlynn Smith, Amanda Hoyle, Chasity Collins (Zachary), and Sierra Bernard—were the center of her universe, while her siblings, Adam Hampton and Steven Hampton, shared in her life's journey.
Known for her incredible culinary skills, Faith crafted countless meals, turning simple gatherings into cherished memories, especially at every holiday. She found great happiness in the laughter and presence of her grandchildren—Anastasia Hoyle, Benjamin Cervantes, Hendrix McAllister, and Finley Hoyle—who were the recipients of her boundless affection and spoiling. Faith's life was a testament to her unwavering love for her family and the joy she found in her many roles as a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
Faith remained a caring force throughout her life, extending her nurturing spirit beyond her own kin. She cared for everyone like they were her own. She relished the moments when her loved ones crowded into her room to watch TV, creating a sense of unity and comfort that will be dearly missed.
Faith's legacy of love, compassion, and the enduring strength of family will continue to shine through the lives of those she touched. Her spirit and joy for family remain an inspiration to all. She will be deeply missed, but her memory will forever reside in the hearts of her family and friends.
Faith’s family will hold a private ceremony at her home.
