Faye Marshall Carrington- Knoxville, TN
Faye Carrington, 89, joined her Heavenly Father on Sunday, December 2, 2018, at her daughter’s home in Strawberry Plains, Tennessee. Mrs. Carrington was born on August 22, 1929, in Taylorsville, North Carolina, to the late Rome and Lona Burgess Marshall.
Mrs. Carrington was a native of North Carolina but had lived in East Tennessee for ten years.
Mrs. Carrington was a member of First Assembly of God in Hickory, North Carolina. She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree and was the Director of Penelope Baptist Daycare for many years. She loved swimming, reading books, and being around children. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who will be dearly missed.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Carrington was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Randolph Carrington III.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Kent Carrington Dunford of Knoxville, Tennessee; her son, Alfred Randolph Carrington, of Lenoir, North Carolina; 5 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
The family will be having a Memorial Service on Saturday, December 8, 2018, at 2:00 PM, at the Episcopal Church of Ascension, located at 726 1st Avenue, Hickory, North Carolina.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Mrs. Faye Carrington’s name to the University of Tennessee Medical Center Hospice.
