Grace Ann (Arwood) McClellan

Grace Ann McClellan- Elizabethton, Tennessee

Grace Ann Arwood McClellan, 82, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, at her home in Elizabethton, Tennessee on Thursday, December 17, 2020. Mrs. McClellan was born on November 9, 1938, in Johnson City, Tennessee, to the late Inis and Bertie Arwood.

Mrs. McClellan was a native of Johnson City but has lived in Elizabethton for the past 40 years.  She was a Baptist by faith and was a member of True Gospel Baptist Church, in Elizabethton.

Mrs. McClellan was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Robert McClellan; 2 daughters Brenda Maher and Patricia McClellan; a son, James Maher; and a grandson, Tommy McClellan, Jr.

 Those left to cherish Mrs. McClellan’s memory include her son, Tommy McClellan, Sr.; her sister, Barbara Potter; 4 grandchildren, Leslie McClellan, Kristi McClellan, Wayne Guinn, and Laura Guinn; and 6 great-grandchildren.  

Receiving of friends for Mrs. McClellan will be held at Snyder’s Memorial Gardens, funeral home, on Saturday, December 19, 2020, from 11 AM- 12 PM.  A funeral service will follow beginning at 12 PM, and the Graveside Service will immediately follow in Snyder’s Memorial Gardens, cemetery.  Officiating the services will be Pastor Dean Presnell.
