Jacquolyn L. "Jackie" Kolbe, a loving mother, and cherished grandmother, peacefully passed away from a brief illness on October 2, 2023, in Jonesborough, TN. Born on May 3, 1950, in Racine, WI, to Lucille Goetzen and Hans Richard Kolbe, Jackie's resilient spirit and selfless love left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
Jackie had a passion for life that was evident in her many pursuits. A garden lover, she spent countless hours nurturing the earth, where she created beauty and serenity. As a fervent animal lover, her home continually echoed with joyous barks and purrs of her beloved pets, especially puppies.
The holidays brought the fondest memories as Jackie embraced them with unmatched zeal, creating unforgettable moments for her loved ones, displaying her infectious festive spirit. Moreover, Jackie's devotion to her kin was unyielding. Described as selfless, passionate, and loving, she was a beacon of unwavering support and affection for her family.
She is survived by her sister, Carol Justice; her daughter, Michelle Gilley (Rick); her son, Charles Brulport, Jr., and her adored grandchildren: Dillinger Messer, Ian Messer, and Samantha Messer. Jackie is predeceased by her father, Hans Richard Kolbe, mother, Lucille Goetzen, sister, Susan Carlson, and brother, Richard Kolbe. Jackie's life was a colorful tapestry, stitched together by the essence of joy, love, and devotion she inspired in us in her own to way.
