Jeff Christie, a vibrant soul whose love for art and music brought joy to all who knew him, passed away peacefully following a brief battle with colon cancer on March 27, 2024, in Gray, TN. Born on September 25, 1969, in Aurora, IL, Jeff's warm spirit and kind heart accompanied him through a life rich with creativity and passion.
In 1981, Jeff and his family moved to Gray, TN, where he would eventually graduate from Daniel Boone High School in 1987. He nurtured a profound bond with his mother, Virginia Lee Peterson Christie, devoting countless years to her care.
Jeff's artistic talents were as varied as his taste in music. A lover of rock & roll, his artistic expression found multiple outlets, defining his unique perspective on the world. A true Pittsburg Steelers fan, Jeff’s enthusiasm and team spirit were unwavering, much like his enduring goodwill.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and memories cherished by his mother, Virginia, his sisters Kellie Tester and Jenilee Christie, and a host of adored nieces and nephews including Andy, Nicole, Lexee, and Collin. Jeff was predeceased by his father, Paul Ray Christie, and his beloved son, Dillian Bamman.
As Jeff joins the stars he once captured on canvas, we remember the words of Vincent van Gogh, "The heart of man is very much like the sea, it has its storms, it has its tides, and in its depths, it has its pearls too." Jeff's memory will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who loved him.
The family of Mr. Christie will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, on Monday, April 1, 2024, at Snyder’s Memorial. A funeral service will follow with Rev. Caleb Frazier officiating.
