Joyce Mae Morrison- Kingsport, Tennessee

Joyce Mae Morrison, 82, passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2019, surrounded by her loving family.  Mrs. Morrison was born on August 13, 1937, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, to the late Monroe Wrightstone, Sr. and Lavina Brooks Wrightstone.  She had lived in this area since 1960.

Mrs. Morrison was a member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church and retired from Sprint after 21 years of service.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Morrison was preceded in death by her husband Harold Morrison, Sr.; a brother, Monroe H. Wrightstone, Jr.; two sisters, Beverly Arnold and Diana Atchley; a grandson Ryan R. Richardson; a nephew Gerald Arnold; a brother-in-law John Atchley

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter JoAnn Morrison; her son Harold Morrison, Jr. & his wife Deanna L. Morrison; her sisters: Carol McCreary & husband Larry; as well as Wanda Gelbaugh & husband Glenn.  She is survived by several grandchildren: Shauna Leigh Morrison, Jesse McClellan Robinson, Harold Caleb Morrison, Erin Hope Morrison, Leslie Lewis & husband David, Becky Ammons & husband Jonathan, Laurie Weston & husband Michael, and Rebecca & Fiance Brandon Cross.  She is also survived by several great-grandchildren: Hayloe Elizabeth Sherman, Julie LeAnn Wall, Hunter Mills, Hannah Mills, Rylie Ammons, Nolan Sailor, Morgan Lewis, Camdon Lewis, Adelyn Lewis, Holden Lewis, London Richardson, and Tyson Richardson; and one great-great-grandchild Elly Mae Corrow; also numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will be receiving friends and family on Saturday, September 14, 2019, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Snyder’s Memorial Gardens, funeral home, in Gray, TN.  A funeral service will follow beginning at 7:00 PM with Pastor Robert Fultz officiating. 

Mrs. Morrison will be interred at Snyder’s Memorial Gardens, cemetery on Sunday, September 15, 2019, at 2:00 PM.  Serving as pallbearers will be: Jesse Robinson, Caleb Morrison, Jeff Wrightstone, Nolan Sailor, Michael Weston, Brandon Cross, James Duffield, and Scott Gilbert.  Serving as Honorary pallbearers will be Larry McCreary and Glenn Gelbaugh.
