Lois Ann Giles Rogers, 86, passed away on April 26, 2026, at her son’s home in Jonesborough, Tennessee, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 26, 1939, in Johnson City, Tennessee, and lived a life marked by kindness, devotion, and steady grace.
Lois was the daughter of the late Robert R. Giles and Mamie M. Grindstaff Giles. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Robyn Hawkins. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Riddle, and her husband, Bill; her son, Dana Rogers II and Janice, his wife and Lois’s special daughter-in-law; her grandchildren, Mary Ann Riddle, Darrin Neeley, Dana Rogers III, and Robert Marcus Riddle and his wife, Casey, one great-grandchild, Olivia Neeley; her sister, Debbie Fagan, and her husband, Marty; and her special lifelong friend, Dana Preston Rogers. Her family was a source of great pride and joy throughout her life, and she treasured the many relationships she built and nurtured over the years.
A native of Johnson City, Lois lived in the surrounding area for more than 20 years and remained deeply connected to the community she called home. She attended Jonesborough High School and carried with her the values of hard work, loyalty, and perseverance that shaped her life. Those who knew her remember her as a woman of strength and warmth, someone who met life with determination and a gentle spirit.
Lois was the owner and operator of Cupid's Beauty Center, where she shared her talent and care with countless clients. She was also a Platform Artist for Zotos International, a role that reflected her skill, professionalism, and dedication to her craft. Through her work, she touched many lives and earned the respect of those who knew her both personally and professionally.
Faith was an important part of Lois's life. She was a Christian and a member of Boones Creek Baptist Church, where she found fellowship and spiritual strength. Her faith guided her through life's joys and challenges, remaining a steady presence throughout her years.
Lois had many interests that brought her happiness and comforted others. She loved to crochet and found joy in creating with her hands. She also loved to play the piano, a gift she shared from an early age. When she was just 16 years old, she gave piano lessons to others, showing even then her patience, talent, and willingness to encourage those around her. Her music and handiwork reflected the thoughtful and generous nature that defined her life.
Her family extends a special thanks to the hospice staff that assisted with Lois’ care.
