Brethren, as the Lord calls His children home, we gather in the warm memory of our dearly departed brother, Mark Dallas Bowser. Born in the spring of 1972, in Johnson City, Tennessee, Mark lived his earthly life with a gentle and generous spirit, cherished by all who knew him until he was received into the Lord’s embrace on the 19th of December, 2023, in Kingsport, Tennessee.
Mark, a native son of Gray, Tennessee, was blessed with the love of his parents, the late Charles and Mary Lou Bowser, and the companionship of his siblings Nancy LaFollette, Sandra Ward, Vernon, Lowell, and Leroy Bowser. He was also preceded in glory by his niece, Melissa Ward. Through the trials of life and the silence of his experience, his faith never wavered. He found solace and fellowship at Rock Heritage Baptist Church and within the warm embrace of the Tri-Cities Deaf & ASL Community.
Educated at the Tennessee School for the Deaf in Knoxville, Mark carried his skills and passions into the world, relishing the rev of a motorcycle and the smooth lines of a Camaro, proof of his steadfast presence and joyous vigor.
Today, we speak of Mark in celebration. His loving heart, his generous hand, and his gentle spirit remain etched upon our lives, a testament to the man who now rests in eternal peace. May we all find comfort in the knowledge that Mark’s story is now part of a greater glory. Amen.
