Mark Anthony Ferguson

Mark Anthony Ferguson, 60, passed away on the 12th of July, 2025, at his home in Kingsport, TN, the same beloved town where he was born on April 7th, 1965. He was the son of the late Harold and Mima Waits Ferguson.

Mark was a lifelong resident of Kingsport, TN, where he attended Sullivan South High School as a young man.

A proud member of the Baptist faith, Mark found solace and strength in gospel music.

Among Mark's simple joys was what he affectionately termed "piddling." The act of tinkering with anything within reach was a pastime that brought him both comfort and a sense of accomplishment. His ability to turn the mundane into the extraordinary was one of his most endearing traits.

He leaves behind his cherished sister, Carolyn Ferguson Nelson, his nephews, Shane Calhoun, Brandon Calhoun, and Caleb Nelson.

Mark’s family will receive friends from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at Snyder’s Memorial, located at 5913 Kingsport Hwy, Gray, TN. A memorial service to honor Mark’s life will follow, with Pastor Steve Guinn officiating.
