Obituary

Martha “Nell” Harwood, 79, was carried away on angel’s wings Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at Lifecare Center of Gray after a lengthy illness.

Nell was preceded in death by her parents, Claude & Evelyn “Jackie” Fields, her daughter, Wendy Jo Harwood, a grandson, Michael Alexander Harwood, and her husband, Wendell Joe Harwood on March 19, 2021.

She is survived by her daughter – Kelly Michelle Poore (Johnny), sons – Michael Todd Harwood (Juanita), & Mark Anthony Harwood; six grandchildren – Whitney, Amanda, Amber, Ashley, Austin, and Andrew, and three great-grandchildren, Declan, Khloe, and Luna; a sister – Sharon Odom (Luther), niece – Jessica Larkin, great-niece, Olivia and great-nephew, Daniel and other extended family.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the employees of Lifecare Center of Gray for their care of our mother.

Mrs. Harwood requested to be cremated without any funeral services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
