Kenneth “Matt” Dayton- Unicoi, TN

Kenneth Matthew Dayton, 41, of Unicoi, Tennessee, passed away, in Jonesborough, Tennessee, on Friday morning, June 24, 2022.  Matt was born in Johnson City, Tennessee, to the late Eddie Kenneth and Connie Woodby Dayton.      

In addition to his parents, Matt was preceded in death by his uncle, Ronnie Dayton; grandmother, Daisy Woodby; and brother-in-law, Mark Edwards. 

Those left to cherish Matt’s memory include; his sons, Kayden Dayton and Noah Dayton; fiancé, Christina Shepstead; sister, Kimberly “Kim” Edwards; ex-wife, Carolyn Osborne; uncles, Lee Dayton and Sam Dayton; aunts, Catherine Oliver and Angela Dayton; niece, Whitney Dayton; cousins, Tammy Dayton and Brittany Dayton; as well as an abundance of family and friends.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Core Services of Northeast Tennessee for their support extended to them.

The family will be honoring Matt with a celebration of life service at Unicoi Baptist Church, located at 100 Tennessee St, Unicoi, TN 37692, on Sunday, July 10, 2022, beginning at 3:00 pm. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Matt’s name to the Unicoi County Animal Shelter at 185 N Industrial Dr, Erwin, TN 37650.
