Born April 9, 1943, in Johnson City, TN, Carolyn was the daughter of the late Chester and Sula Sandidge Callahan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Dermott Beaver, her brothers, Don and Dub Callahan, and her sister, Pauline Callahan.
A graduate of Boones Creek High School, Carolyn's education laid the groundwork for her creative career and enduring friendships. Her work, particularly her tenure in the floral department at Walmart, was more than a job; it was a canvas for her artistic expression, a place where she could share her love of flowers with others. Her skill and eye for beauty brightened countless lives, with each arrangement carrying a piece of her joyous spirit.
Carolyn was a proud member of the Boones Creek Christian Church, where she also fostered meaningful relationships and contributed to her community. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, offering solace and strength throughout her journey.
But above all her accomplishments, Carolyn's greatest joy was her family. She was a pillar of strength and love for her daughter, Michelle Oliver (David), and for her son, John "Robert" Beaver (Michel). Carolyn's legacy continues to bloom in the lives of her five grandchildren, to whom she was an affectionate and inspiring grandmother. Her brothers, Roger and Virgil Callahan, and several nieces &nephews also survive her, carrying forth the memories and wisdom she instilled in them.
Carolyn’s life was a testament to her unwavering love for her family, her church, and the simple beauties of the world, such as the flowers she so tenderly cared for. Friends and family will remember her gentle nature, her nurturing spirit, and the care she put into the world, making it a brighter, more colorful place for all who knew her.
