Patsy Ruth (Reece) Tester, 88, of Johnson City, Tennessee, passed away at her home, in Johnson City, Tennessee, on Saturday morning, October 29, 2022. Pat was born on April 23, 1934, in Washington D.C. to the late Walter Marion and Rosa Lee Reece.

Pat lived in Johnson City for more than the last 40 years. She had her associate’s degree in nursing and worked for many years as an LVN and as a private duty nurse. Pat was gifted at painting and she especially enjoyed oil painting. She loved being a wonderful mother and grandmother and taking care of her family.

In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her husband, George William Tester

Those left behind to cherish Pat’s memory include two daughters, Robin Renee Bergeron D’Amboise of Johnson City, TN, and Marian Lee Ridley (Michael) of Johnson City, TN; one son, Bud Williams (Amy) of Rogersville, TN; special friends, Roy Jones of Johnson City, TN and her closest and best friend Edna Scott of Johnson City, TN; as well as six grandchildren: Kristi M. Mantay of Chesapeake, VA, Nikki McClellan of Johnson City, TN, John P. McClellan, III of Suffolk, VA, Mason Williams of Norfolk, VA, Madison Williams of Norfolk, VA, and Samantha Gilliam of Kingsport, TN; and seven great-grandchildren.

The family will be honoring Pat with a private ceremony with family.

Friends and family may send flowers to the family or make a memorial contribution in Pat’s name to Amedisys Hospice of Elizabethton.
