Phyllis Ann (Penley) Necessary

Phyllis Ann Penley Necessary, 70, passed away Wednesday morning, February 1, 2023. She was born March 7, 1952, in Rogersville, TN, to the late William & Sallie Smith Penley. 

Although she was a native of Hawkins County, TN, Phyllis has lived in Greeneville, TN for the past 3 years. She is of the Holiness faith. 

In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by 1 son, Daniel Joe Necessary, Jr., and a sister, Dorothy June Mayes. 

She is survived by her husband, Daniel Joe Necessary, Sr.; 3 daughters, Margaret & Ronald Brickey, Martha & Christopher Dykes, and Kristy Collins; 1 son, Mark & Laura Necessary; 3 sisters, Margaret Smith, Betty Smith, and Geneva Gray; 3 brothers, Roy Penley, Buddy Penley, and Franky Penley; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces & nephew. 

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at The Way Home Holiness Church. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm. 

The graveside committal will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at Sulphur Springs Cemetery.
