Richard Robinson- Church Hill, Tennessee

Richard Robinson, 68, of Church Hill, Tennessee, passed away at the Johnson City Medical Center in Johnson City, Tennessee, on Tuesday, August 10, 2021.  Richard was born on July 5, 1953, in Yancey County, North Carolina, to the late Harold and Flaude Sparks Robinson.

Richard was a native of Yancey County, North Carolina, but had lived in Church Hill, Tennessee, for almost 20 years.  He was a Christian and attended New Destiny Ministry Center in Kingsport, Tennessee.  He was a jack of all trades and he enjoyed fishing, gardening, yard work.        

In addition to his parents, Richard was also preceded in death by his son, Shannon Robinson; brother, Rayford Robinson; sister, Mabel Robinson; and sister-in-law, Opal Carrier and her husband Ron. 

Those left to cherish Richard’s memory include his wife Joy Lynn Robinson; daughters Aiden Robinson of Greeneville, Tennessee, Madison Robinson of Church Hill, Tennessee, and Stacy Yarborough of Florida; son, Jeremiah Robinson of Chattanooga, Tennessee; sisters-in-law, Dot Worley & husband Mike, and Rose Williamson & husband Larry; brothers-in-law, Joe Lewis, Jeff Lewis, and Jerry Lewis; 8 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. 

A Celebration of Life service will be held at New Destiny Ministry Center, 385 Bancroft Chapel Road, Kingsport, TN  37660, on Saturday, August 21, 2021, beginning at 2:00 pm.  Pastor Jerrod Manning will be officiating the service. 

Snyder’s Memorial Gardens is honored to serve the family of Mr. Richard Robinson.
