Roy Leon Smith – Jonesborough, TN 

  Roy Leon Smith, 73, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 13, 2019, from NHC Healthcare Johnson City, TN., Roy was born November 2, 1945, in Johnson City, TN. to the late Roy V. & Elizabeth Tucker Smith.

   Mr. Smith grew up and had lived most of his life in Embreeville area of Jonesborough, TN and was a 1964 graduate of Lamar High School, was a member of Embreeville United Methodist Church. He coached little league, was a horse enthusiast and enjoyed playing Santa Clause for children for many yrs.

  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Naomi Painter, and Linda Greene; two brothers, Ogleva Smith and Archie Smith. 

 Those left to cherish his memory are his son; Mark Smith; sister, Sandra Edwards; two brothers Gary Smith, Lawrence Smith & wife Nancy; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and special people in his life Sandra Woodruff Harrison and Angie Alexander.

  The family will hold a memorial service 2:00pm. Sunday, August 18, 2019, at Embreeville United Methodist Church, in Jonesborough, TN. with Pastor Linda Rozar officiating.

  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions & donations can be made to the Smith family to help with expenses.
