Sharon “Susie” Berry Garland- Elizabethton

“Susie” Garland went Home to be with the Lord on December 28, 2015. She departed this life from her home in Elizabethton while surrounded by her family. Susie was born May 8, 1958 in Johnson City, Tennessee to the late Richard and Elizabeth Berry and remained in the area her entire life.

Susie was a Baptist. She was a kind, loving person and a devoted Mother and family member. She was always giving and completely selfless. Her children, grandchildren and family meant the world to her. Susie’s passing is a great loss to the world, but a truly wonderful addition to the Kingdom of Heaven.

Those left to cherish her memory are: husband, Jimmy Garland, Sr.; daughters, Carmen Garland and Pearl Cottrell; sons, Steven “Todd” Berry (Tiona) and Jimmy Garland, Jr. (Stacey); sister, Kim Simms; brothers, Kyle Berry (Theresa), Darryl Berry and Michael Berry; grandchildren, Melanie, Jessica, Stephen, Danielle, Jude, Jayden, Josh, Fin and De’Shaun; and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Snyder’s Memorial Gardens from 2-3 pm on Saturday, January 2, 2015.
