Shirley Jean Jenkins- Gray

Shirley Jenkins passed away unexpectedly at her home on July 15, 2016. She was born August 29, 1938 in Johnson City, Tennessee to the late Niles and Jewell Clark and remained in the area her entire life. Shirley was of the Baptist faith and a very strong-minded woman. She loved watching wrestling, going to garage sales and cooking for her family. She was also a NASCAR fan and a fan of Jeff Gordon.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by husband, Stanley Jenkins; daughter, Debbie Jenkins; grandchild, Vonda Donaldson; and her furbaby Otis.

Those left to cherish her memory are: her son, and only living heir, Ricky Jenkins, grandson Christopher Scott; and grandsons-in-law, Daniel Stephens and Rick Donaldson; daughter-in-law, Rosie Jenkins, granddaughter, Chantile Berry and granddaughter-in-law, Ashely Scott-all of Johnson City; brother, Edward Clark of Florida; 2 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Snyders Memorial Gardens on August 2, 2016 from 6-8 pm. The Celebration of Life will immediately follow with Pastor Richard Long officiating.
