Susan E. Miller, a lifelong resident of Washington County, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2026, at the age of 78.

Born on November 4, 1947, Susan dedicated her life to her family, her work, and her community. She began her career as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), caring for others with compassion and dedication. Later, alongside her husband, Wayne, she became a successful entrepreneur, helping to establish and operate several businesses, including the well-known Porky’s Apex.

Susan was preceded in death by her mother, Trulah E. Miller; her stepfather, Lawrence H. Miller; and her brothers, Horace Maynard Gresham III and Peter Gresham.

She leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory: her devoted husband, Wayne Miller; her daughter and son-in-law, Iva and Tim Wallace; her grandchildren, James and Lili Wallace, Gavin and Bryce Wallace, and Katy and Austin Boyd; and her sister, Cecilia Harmon. She also leaves behind many extended family members, friends, and neighbors whose lives were enriched by her kindness, strength, and unwavering love.

Susan will be remembered for her strong work ethic, entrepreneurial spirit, generous heart, and deep commitment to her family. Her legacy will live on through the family she loved so dearly and the countless memories shared with those whose lives she touched.
