Zelma K. Ramsey- Johnson City
Zelma Ramsey went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 25, 2016. She departed this life from Franklin Woods Community Hospital. Zelma was born October 13, 1949 to the late Lester and Maude Brandon Martin. She was a native of Dickinson County, VA but had lived in the local area for 35 years.
Zelma was a member of the Faith Tabernacle Church.
She was a very special woman that loved to care for people. Zelma had a passion for life and helping others. There are no words to describe the love Zelma had for the Lord, her family and her friends. She touched too many lives to count and will be greatly missed.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Ramsey, Sr.; 4 sisters- Linda Martin, Brenda Martin, Willa Mae Blair and Myrtle Ball; 3 brothers- Ronald Martin, Buddy Martin and Jack Martin.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, James Carlo Leftwich; brother, Archie and wife, Carolyn Martin.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Snyder’s Memorial Gardens. The funeral service will follow with Reverend Harold Jones, of Faith Tabernacle Church, officiating. The graveside service will be held at Mountain Home National Cemetery on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at 1 pm.
